Group Workshops

Beyond our consultation and tutorial services, the Digital Studio offers a number of resources through group workshops. In order to better facilitate digital composers’ rhetorical awareness and technical expertise in classroom and professional settings, group workshops involve a visit to the Digital Studio or a consultant coming into the classroom to do one or more of the following:

  1. Conduct a workshop on a particular program (e.g., Photoshop,InDesign, Wix, etc.) that is geared toward a specific assignment.
  2. Provide a helping hand during a workday, most likely by sitting down with different students and helping them with any questions and/or problems they may have during the composing process (e.g., troubleshooting a program or answering questions about rhetorically-informed design).
  3. Provide response to students’ drafts of digital texts (e.g.,multi-media compositions, electronic portfolios, etc.).

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for instructors to bring their class into the Digital Studio at Johnston Ground.

To request the services of a group workshop, please fill out the Google form below. Please note that requests must be made at least two weeks in advance from the requested date; requests made short of two weeks' notice are not guaranteed to be fulfilled.

If you have questions about the traveling tutor program or studio reservations, please contact the Johnston Digital Studio Coordinator, Kamila Albert, at kalbert@fsu.edu.
