Beyond our consultation and tutorial services, the Digital Studio offers a number of resources through group workshops. In order to better facilitate digital composers’ rhetorical awareness and technical expertise in classroom and professional settings, group workshops involve a visit to the Digital Studio or a consultant coming into the classroom to do one or more of the following:
- Conduct a workshop on a particular program (e.g., Photoshop,InDesign, Wix, etc.) that is geared toward a specific assignment.
- Provide a helping hand during a workday, most likely by sitting down with different students and helping them with any questions and/or problems they may have during the composing process (e.g., troubleshooting a program or answering questions about rhetorically-informed design).
- Provide response to students’ drafts of digital texts (e.g.,multi-media compositions, electronic portfolios, etc.).
We are pleased to offer the opportunity for instructors to bring their class into the Digital Studio at Johnston Ground.
To request the services of a group workshop, please fill out the Google form below. Please note that requests must be made at least two weeks in advance from the requested date; requests made short of two weeks' notice are not guaranteed to be fulfilled.
