Group Workshops
During Fall and Spring semesters, the Digital Studio offers group workshops for classes* and student organizations. Group workshops involve a visit to the Johnston Ground Digital Studio where consultants will:
-
Conduct a workshop about a specific program (e.g., Photoshop,InDesign, Wix) or program options geared toward an assignment like ePortfolios, composition in 3 genres, video essays, etc.
-
Provide a helping hand during a project work day by talking with different students and helping them with questions they may have during the composing process (e.g., troubleshooting a program or answering questions about rhetorically informed design)
To request a group workshop, please fill out the Google form below. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance from the requested date; we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill requests made with less than two weeks' notice. We do not currently offer traveling workshops; all workshops will be hosted in the Johnston Digital Studio (G062).
*ENC 1101 and ENC 2135: due to the high volume of workshop requests, please note that each course section is limited to one (1) workshop request and one (1) studio reservation.
Studio Reservations
You can also reserve the Williams or Johnston Digital Studio for your class or group meetings! Here are some scenarios where this might be useful:
- Lead a tutorial for your class in a lab with the Adobe Creative Cloud
- Host a workshop day for your class in a lab with the Adobe Creative Cloud
- Reserve a space for your team or organization meeting
If you have questions about the group workshop program or studio reservations, please contact one of the Digital Studio Coordinators at english-rwc-ds@fsu.edu.
