Online consultations are always available, especially for distance learners and other students enrolled in online classes, and for those who have documented accessibility needs.
However, from March 2020 until face-to-face teaching resumes at FSU all our appointments will be online only and available to anyone who can access both an internet connection and either a suitable device, ideally with a microphone and a webcam. If you don't have internet access and / or a device, please email us. We may still be able to help.
To begin, login and look for a consultant with availability (a white box) at the time you want. Then click on the box and follow the instructions. It's that simple. On the day of your appointment, be sure to log back in 5-10 minutes before the start time, click on your appointment, then click the red link to start or join the online session.
While online, you will work with a consultant using video chat to discuss your project and address any questions or concerns you have about your writing. You and your consultant will be able to access any attached document that you are working on. We try, to the degree that we can, to mimic our on-site services. (Please note that although you can attach a file when you book an online appointment, our consultants are not able to review documents ahead of time.)
If we don't see you online at the time of your appointment, we will check in with you via email. Please keep an eye on your inbox, especially if you are experiencing any technical difficulties.
If you have any questions, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to working with you!
